Hiking Gran Canaria

A continent in miniature

Gran Canaria is often called "a continent in miniature." In a single day you can walk from pine forest to volcanic rock to Atlantic coast. Over 300km of marked trails for all abilities, all within reach of Aguimes.

Our hiking retreats take you to parts of the island most visitors never reach, deep barrancos, ancient Guanche settlements, the cloud forest around Cruz de Tejeda. All guided by our expert local guides, who grew up walking these trails.

Gentle walking retreats (8–12km/day) and serious trekking programmes (15–25km/day with significant elevation) both available. For something faster, our cycling holidays cover the same terrain by road.
